Cannerald, one of the largest cannabis cultivators and manufacturers in Switzerland, cultivates high-CBD crops to cater to medical patients in that country and in the broader European market.

“Our goal is to produce the highest-quality cannabis product in Europe,” says Cannerald owner and CEO Levin Amweg. “For this reason, we must partner with companies that produce the highest-quality and most efficient products for the cultivation of cannabis.”

“This is why, after evaluating many racking systems in early 2020, we decided to switch to purchasing all of our growing racks and trays from PIPP Horticulture,” Amweg says. “We felt that PIPP was the only company that was able to accommodate our very specific requirements in terms of widths, heights, and length of our carriages, not to mention our aggressive production schedule.”

“PIPP’s engineering department was able to design a four-tier mobile racking system to maximize the canopy space in our grow rooms, and the fact that these racks move across the rooms is also a huge benefit,” Amweg says. “We estimate that PIPP's racking systems allowed Cannerald to achieve 30% more room utilization in our grow rooms.”

“One of the many benefits of PIPP's system is that you can move the racks left and right, creating a very comfortable working aisle, and you can adjust this space any way you want to,” Amweg says.

“PIPP's racks are designed to make the installation of LED lights and the irrigation system very simple and efficient,” Amweg says. “Even Cannerald’s proprietary ventilation system engineered in-house was easy to install in PIPP’s racks.”

“Another great benefit of PIPP's racks over other racks in the market is the ease of installation,” Amweg says. “Our own people had one room completely done within one or two days.”

“From the very first day we decided to switch to PIPP, we have been very happy with our decision,” Amweg says. “Not only has PIPP been able to offer great quality products, but PIPP's logistics department has been able to handle the freight to our country with ease and efficiency. This is very important when you purchase products from overseas. Moreover, we feel that the service we receive from PIPP's representatives is second to none. They respond to all our questions very quickly and often offer suggestions on how we can make our facility even more efficient. They also make sure everything is done right the first time.”

Cannerald plans to continue working with PIPP as Amweg and his team feel that PIPP's system allows Cannerald to achieve Good Manufacturing Practices certification. "We are very happy with our relationship with PIPP. And we are honored that we are PIPP’s biggest client in Europe,” Amweg says.

Cannerald looks forward to the legalization of high THC cannabis in Switzerland.
