Goodblend, the retail brand of multi-state operator Parallel, one of three licensed companies in Texas, is taking its “CannaBus” mobile dispensary on tour in October to educate consumers on the state’s medical cannabis program.
The “Ride For Your Rights” CannaBus Tour will take place from Oct. 4 to Oct. 20 in cities across the state, including Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and more.
The tour’s mission is to educate consumers and prospective patients about the state’s medical cannabis program, its regulations, products, the process of receiving a medical prescription, and more.
Texas has yet to legalize the commercial sale of medical cannabis without low-THC restrictions. In June 2021, Gov. Greg Abbott signed House Bill 1535 into law, which expanded “the state’s medical cannabis qualifying conditions to include cancer and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),” Cannabis Business Times reported.
“At goodblend Medical Cannabis, we want Texans to feel good. We believe access to medical cannabis will help. That’s why we’re hitting the road. Our ‘Ride For Your Rights’ CannaBus Tour will rally support to expand access to medical cannabis for Texans. We hope to convince state legislators to make real, lasting change,” the company stated on this event page.
As part of the tour, goodblend is hosting a Texas Marijuana March and Freedom Festival at Burnett Park in Fort Worth Oct. 8. The freedom march is free to attend and will include food, vendors, flow performers, music and speakers.
